OTHER EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES
Experimental in vivo anatomical study of osteoarthritis
Developed in collaboration with a benchmark university. Performed on test animals that had been surgically caused osteoarthritis, divided into a control group and a treated group. Following the treatment, histological cuts were taken from the knee and were subjected to an assessment process on the joint cartilage using an image analysis programme. The results revealed cartilage regeneration, which was around 20% greater in the treated animals than in the control group.
In vitro absorption study
Carried out by a benchmark university. Transepithelial study of Caco-2 cells in monolayer culture to analyse the transportation of Ovomet® via the logarithmic correlation, Permeability-Fraction absorbed in humans following oral administration. The different permeability models reveal between 65 and 100% absorption of Ovomet®.
